KIK Greek Yoghurt Custard Toast
With the Greek yoghurt custard toast trending on TikTok, we decided to give it a try using out very own KIK vanilla Greek yoghurt. The natural vanilla flavour combined with the sweetness of honey and stevia is already a great base to use as a custard. Our version of the custard toast is very healthy and low in fats just like everything KIK.
Ingredients:
2 slices of toast
1/2 jar KIK Greek yoghurt (vanilla)
2 egg whites
1/4 cup blueberries
1/2 tsp of chia seeds
1 tsp maple syrup
Instructions:
1- Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
2- In a bowl, mix KIK vanilla Greek yoghurt with the egg whites very well.
3- Get 2 pieces of toast and press them down in the middle with a spoon, then spread the mixture from step 2 on both slices evenly.
4- Add blueberries and you’re good to go.
5- Place it in the oven and bake for 20 mins.
6- Finish it off with a drizzle of maple syrup and voilà.
Notes:
- If you're not to concerned about higher calories, you can replace 2 egg whites, with 1 whole egg for a creamier experience.
- If you don't have maple syrup, you can replace it with honey.
- For a sweeter custard, you can add 1 tsp of honey or maple syrup in step 2.
- You can replace blueberries with any other kind of berry; we found that chopped strawberry was great too. You can use more or less fruit according to your taste prefrence.
