KIK Peanut Butter And Jam Baked Oats
Theres no better way to start your day than with a breakfast that almost feels like a dessert. We took everyday breakfast ingredients and combined them in a way to create this delicious and nutritious creation that packs a punch. These baked oats contain the complex carbs from the oats, simple carbs from the honey, healthy fats from the peanut butter, protein from the milk and peanut butter, and vitamins from the fruit jam. Its a healthy breakfast that will KIK start your day and give you the needed boost to your daily activity.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup oat flour
2 tbsp of honey
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
2/3 tsp of baking powder
1/2 cup of milk (you can use any milk you prefer)
1.5 tbsp of KIK peanut butter
1 tbsp of jam (made with stevia for low calorie)
Pinch of sea salt (optional)
Instructions:
1- First preheat oven to 220 Degrees Celsius.
2- Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl, keep aside 1 tbsp of peanut butter and the jam.
3- Add mixture from step 2 it in a oven-safe bowl or pan.
4- In the middle of the mixture, add the rest of your peanut butter and strawberry jam and swirl them around (don't over mix it). You can also add a pinch of sea salt to top off.
5- Place it in the oven for 12-13 mins until golden brown on the edges.
Notes:
- Rolled oats can blended into fine flour to create oat flour.
- You can use any fruit based jam other than strawberry.
- Recipe sweetness can be modified by adding more or less jam to taste.
- Stevia based jams are much healthier, but harder to find. You can use normal jam if calories is not a concern.
